The community gathered for an Easter Egg Hunt on Easter morning 2008

St. Mary's has an active role in the community. We have supported many of the local organizations and charities, such as building a float for Elk Grove Western Festival, supporting the WIND program, the Elk Grove Food Closet, River City Community Services, African Team Ministries, The United Thank Offering (UTO), and providing food baskets to those in need at Thanksgiving. St Mary’s recently collected over $2,000 from parish members to send to Episcopal Relief & Development for the victims of hurricane Katrina. We are raising funds to replace the roof on our sister parish, Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage, in the Philippines.
