MEETING FOR PASTORAL CARE AND HEALING MINISTRIES—On Wednesday, August 13th at 7 P.M., we will have a meeting for all those who are involved or wish to become involved in pastoral care and/or healing ministry at St. Mary’s.
CLASS ON HUMAN SEXUALITY AND SCRIPTURE—Father Ray will be leading a class on human sexuality and scripture. The class will meet from 7:00 to 8:30 P.M. on the four Thursday evenings of August, starting August 7th.
SUGGESTION BASKET—If you have any suggestions, questions, or concerns about our parish, please use the forms and suggestion basket on the table in the Fireside Room.
SAINT MARY'S DAY CELEBRATION: This year we are celebrating Saint Mary's Day with a BBQ dinner at the home of Fr. Ray and Deborah Hess. (9001 Crowley Way) This festive celebration of our patron saint and the 21st anniversary of our church will begin at 6 PM on Sunday, August 17th. Mark your calendar. Call Fr. NEW ROOF FOR PEACE AND GOOD VOYAGE CHURCH—Our Outreach Committee has a fund raising project to help our sister parish of Peace and Good Voyage in the Philippines to get a much needed new roof for their church building. The total cost for them will be about $5,000. At of 7/7/08 we have $1,025 in donations. If you would like to donate for this, make a check out to St. Mary’s Church and be sure to notate the check clearly for “Peace and Good Voyage Roof.” Contact Coline McNeil (682-0347) for more information.
DAUGHTERS OF THE KING meet regularly on the first (1st) Tuesday of each month from 7 to 9 PM. The next meeting is this Tuesday, August 5th. Our meetings consist of praying for our clergy & parish members, a short bible study, and DOK services. Come and serve the Lord with us. For more information contact Coline McNeil, President. BUILDING & GROUNDS will have their next committee meeting this Thursday, August 7th. Anyone interested in helping with the upkeep and cleaning of the property is encourages to attend. We are in need of teams to clean the church once every-other month. Please contact Deborah Hess with any questions or for more information. (685-2703)
OUTREACH—The Outreach Committee under the guidance of Coline McNeil (682-0347) will have their next meeting on August 5th at 6:00 P.M. Anyone interested in helping out with this important committee is encourages to attend.


BROTHERHOOD OF ST. ANDREW will hold their next regularly monthly meeting on Friday, September 19th at 6:00 P.M. for a BBQ dinner, fellowship, prayer, and a bible study. All men and boys are invited to attend. Please bring $40 for your 2008 dues, if you haven’t done so already, and $9.00 for a study book if you would like one. CHILDREN’S NURSERY The nursery is available today from 8:45 A.M. until 12:15 P.M. and during the 4:30 P.M. service for children up through kindergarten.
